Right. What it means is that the term of the Prime Minister (and subsequently all the Ministers too, because he/she appoints them) ends after 6 weeks. Now, if a majority of the Senate votes that they do not have confidence in the Prime Minister and in the government, then an election would be held early.
I think having elections at least every 6 weeks will help keep interest by switching things up so people can participate more.
The Dissolution of the Government clause means that the Prime Minister can decide to hold an election early if they so choose.
This language states that there is no term limit for the Prime Minister. I'm fine without having a term limit if everyone else is.
Let me try to rephrase the language.

Huzzah! We have 6 members so far!
Perhaps if we get two more members, we can get things rolling.
Tadin, I like the new constitution. It is scaled back a bit from what we're used to, but new isn't always bad.
According to this one, one person will have to sit out of all legislative proceedings for a term in order to be the Supreme Judge. Then, there is the Prime Minister. Since the Prime Minister is still actually part of the Senate, will he/she have a vote in it? I think we might want to talk about if the PM gets a vote or only in the case of ties.
I'd be fine with them voting all the time.

You're right that the PM would be able to vote. Would we like to change this? We might as well put in some specific details into the constitution on this. What does everyone think?

I think it would work better if they only had a vote in case of ties? I think it would be good if the Prime Minister could exert pressure on what they want passed...sort of like Big Brother with the Head of Household....if you watch that lol

I don't, but I think I get your drift!
I might actually put this to a poll.

Right... so I think we shall have an election on Monday, 21.JUL.08 at 00.00GMT. Given that this is the internets and I really don't know where in the world everyone is, times will be put in GMT. So plan accordingly! If anyone needs help figuring out GMT, let me know. The poll will be for 24 hours.
Now, does anyone want to run for Prime Minister? Or are there any nominations?
I am going to run for Prime Minister.

Now, we shall have two votes.
1. A vote to enact the constitution.
2. A vote for Prime Minister. I--Tadin--am currently the only announced candidate running.
The vote ends at 00.00GMT on Tuesday 22.JUL.08
1. Yes
2. For me, Tadin.

How does one take a poll off of a thread once the poll is through?
Oh yeah... 3 hours to go on the election!

And That's it!
We had a vote of 5 for the Constitution and 1 abstention (83%)
Then, we had a vote of 5 for Me (Tadin) for Prime Minister and 1 abstention (83%).
Both Measures pass! Alright confederates! Let's get busy!
My first order will be to open the Senate. You will find that in the Senate thread.
