Today, I am introducing a Confederacy for all members of the region to join. Here is the constitution. Please post here if you'd like to join. Once we have enough nations enlisted, then we can get the confederacy running! If you have suggestions to the constitution, we can discuss it and I can add it in. All suggestions for the constitution must be made before we hold our first elections. After that, then the constitution will be adopted and all amendments must happen through the proper channels.

The Constitution of the Confederacy of the Mediterranean
PREAMBLE
We declare this the Constitution of the Confederacy of the Mediterranean. We are united with the purpose of providing a healthy, prosperous future through cooperation. The confederacy is a symbol of the community that the Mediterranean Region and what can and will be accomplished with it. The Confederacy shall strive to stand as a medium of dialogue and progress.
ARTICLE I- THE PRIME MINISTER
Section 1.
The powers of the Head of State as well as the Chief executive shall be in the office of the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister shall be elected by a majority of the Senate. As Head of State, the Prime Minister shall be the chief diplomat of the Confederacy.
Section 2.
The Prime Minister shall sign all laws passed by the Senate into law. Additionally, the Prime Minister controls the docket of the legislation to be discussed in the Senate.
Section 3.
The Prime Minister can call an election early by disolving the government before the 6 weeks mark . The Prime Minister and his/her government can also be removed from office through a no confidence motion.
Section 4.
The Prime Minister is permitted to have a vote in all Senate votes.
ARTICLE II- THE GOVERNMENT
Section 1.
The Senate shall be made up of Senators from each member-state.
Section 2.
The Prime Minister shall establish the Government of the Confederacy by assigning Senators to be Ministers of Government. The Senate can vote on the confidence of any government officer at any time.
Section 3.
The Senate shall be given the authority to draft legislation for the Confederacy to abide by.
Section 4.
The Senate shall draft constitutional amendments that must pass with a 2/3rds vote.
Section 5.
The Senate can only vote to establish or abolish any ministry that they deem necessary.
Section 6.
All votes within the Senate shall happen within a 24 hour period. All debates on legislation shall happen within a minimum of 24 hour.
ARCTLE III-THE JUDICIARY
Section 1.
The Senate shall vote to appoint one Senator to relinquish their legislative duties for that term to serve as the Supreme Judge.
Section 2.
The Supreme Judge shall interpret the constitution and also try civil and criminal cases between nations. The Supreme Judge will only be able to rule when cases are brought to them. Constitutional Interpretations shall take precedent over all other cases.
ARCTLE IV-ADMISSION
All nations looking to join the confederacy must first vote within themselves to agree to all provisions of the constitution and any subsequent laws on admission. Then, all nations will have to be voted in by the Senate.
