Ok then, assuming it doesn't oppose the rules, I will add the claim this weekend, so members that know the rules have the time to check it out and speak if it does.

You can claim it but if another nation enters and wants any of your territory you have to give it up, that is the price of over expanding.

New Map version added, minor details added, as new data on world capitals(NS of Idrisi) Faestos cities and MC several seaports relevant info was updated on our database.(OOC: ioniopolis transfered to their original claim now that Vitosoprano has left us). If you think the capitals positioning was printed erroneously by our service please contact our offices(OOC: in other words, message me)
{Note: only few lands have no capitals now, I'd like to see the rest ask for a capital or roleplay in their intelligence data for me to find. A country should have a capital anyway, unless ofcourse you're roleplaying anarchy}

In my opinion I think Vito should remain on the map. Due to his activity and making this forum for us I think his claim should remain on and be declared honorary member status. (Or whatever it is, Freedo knows better)

Not bad an idea. I counter-propose, Vito is given his fave island next to Hawaiiana's capital(that should be Voidland and is mistakenly painted white) and a part of Africa, since Ioniopolis is an active player. Then if/when Ioniopolis or Pons leave, we transfer their land automatically to Vito.
I'm also waiting for what Freedomstaki's having to say on this.

I'm completely against giving honorary status to any nation that has ceased to exist on NationStates.
However, I also think that, as was done in the past, there should be a set window left open for a nation to return before taking them off the map. Something along the lines of 2 weeks should work fine.

Didn't we give that status to Tyr a long time ago though?

Map updated to reflect Tunisian reclaim by Ioniopolis. The on debate portion of the map will stay unclaimable till the older members of the board resolve the situation between them and express so.

I would like to speak on behalf of the Confederacy on this issue. The Confederate Government will be taking the official position that giving an honorary space on the map goes against our rule about only active members being on the map. We also oppose it if only a few people decide this rule. If we wanted to do a region wide vote on this, the Confederacy would support that.
