Senate spokesman Sony T'now announced today that the Senate had passed the "Border Enforcement Act" by a measure of 233-34 with 3 abstaining. Expected to take effect today, the measure will have the most impact on the Roma Hawaiiana-Sinai border. The recent flood of illegal drugs coming out of the area has been a major problem in the border towns, and the new law will allow soldiers stationed there to arrest all foreigners without passport and send them to relocation camps where reeducation will show all law-breakers the error of their ways. Upon graduation, the former drug dealers will have a chance for Roma Hawaiiana citizenship. The camps are run by the Church group "Boondock Saints", a large missionary contingent within the Catholic Church.

Consigliere: Rest assured the Vitosoprano government is doing everything possible to stem the illegal drug trafficking through the sanai. The ever increasing activity can ONLY mean that the criminals are becoming craftier by the day.

The Roma Hawaiiana government thanks you for your efforts, and we have faith that the Boondocks will be most successful in their mission. However, we do feel obligated to increase troop presence in the area.

Just make sure there's no saber rattling going on here. I don't want any problems on my border, capisce?

We would never intentionally intimidate our neighbors.

Pons Aelius is impressed with the action you are taking against drug trafficking in the Roma Hawaiiana-Sinai border area. We applaud your stance against this major problem affecting the lives of so many citizens. We would be willing to send some of our highly trained and dedicated Police Officers with their invaluable experience in the these matters, together with their team of highly trained spaniel "sniffer dogs". We are sure that with the help of our Police Officers and their team of dogs, and their professionalism in their highly specialised field of detection of drug trafficking, you will be able to stop this illegal flood of drugs. You will find that the very presence of our Officers will be a deterrent to would be traffickers. We are sure your soldiers will be able quickly to return to their barracks. We are quite willing for our Officers to remain in Roma Hawaiiana indefinitely and they could, if you so wish, set up a training school to instruct your Police Officers in this field. We send our greetings to Roma Hawaiiana and may our friendship long prosper.

Grazie! We much appreciate and accept your help in this area Pons Aelius. Our Marines are trained in war, and I'm afraid our drug-detecting abilities are poor at best. We would also appreciate their help in training our own drug patrol units. We have begun immediate construction on the Roma Hawaiiana Drug Detection Officer Canidate School of Libya (R.H.D.D.O.S.L.). Thank you greatly for your assistance.

Consigliere: Pons Aelius, the Don has become aware of your assistance to Roma Hawaiiana in their war on drugs. You are to be commended for your aggressive action in this matter. Let it be also known that developments in this area of the world are being closely monitored by the Family.

Vitosoprano: Pons Aelius is concerned that "the Family" may be monitoring developments in that particular area because of their well known lucrative interest in drug trafficking. Do we need to consider withdrawing our Police Officers from the Roma Hawaiiana-Sinai border area in order to protect them? We also fear for the safety of the members of R.H.D.D.O.S.L. We would be appreciative of your advice.

Don: Pons Aelius is presently a very close ally of the Family and is regarded with the utmost respect. That being said, we would be remiss were we not vigilant in the protection of our borders and our citizens. We have no designs on any official "action" towards Pons Aelius, or Roma Hawaiiana for that matter; just let it be said here that we will take care of our own back yard; any official or unofficial intrusions within our borders for the sake of chasing a few drug dealers will not be tolerated, and will exact a response.

Any intrusion will not be necessary if the Vitosopranan government get serious about this problem. If progress is not made in that area, Roma Hawaiiana would consider shutting down the Libyan/Sinai border and not allowing any traffic, peaceful or not, through.

That is your perogative, as our citizens usually exit the country by air or ship, we do have some concern with you disprespecting and incinveniencing our citizens in this manner, though we are sure they can adapt.

Consigliere: We are pleased to announce that drug seizures in the peninsula are down 75%, what this means is that trafficking is almost nonexistaent in the peninsula at this time. Thank yo9u.

You are welcome. However, the amount we are seizing, despite all of our efforts, is only decreasing slightly. We must remain vigilant.
